A transparent process. No surprises.
Four phases, clear deliverables for each, and a timeline you can hold me to. Here's how a typical project moves from first call to launch day.
Discovery
We talk. I learn about your business, your customers, what you're trying to accomplish, and what's gotten in the way so far. I ask uncomfortable questions about competitors, pricing, and what success looks like 12 months out.
You receive
- ▸Written project brief with scope, deliverables, and assumptions
- ▸Flat-rate quote with payment milestones
- ▸Realistic timeline with a delivery date you can hold me to
Design & strategy
Before code, I build the look. Site architecture, page-level wireframes, and full Figma mockups for every page in scope. You approve each screen before anything gets built. Two revision rounds are included in every package.
You receive
- ▸Full Figma file with every page, mobile and desktop
- ▸Brand-aligned color, typography, and component system
- ▸Clear copy structure — placeholder text marked, not lorem ipsum
Build & optimize
Approved designs become production code. Built with Next.js or modern WordPress depending on what fits your team. Performance, SEO, accessibility, and analytics are baked in from day one — not bolted on at the end. You see staging links throughout, not just at launch.
You receive
- ▸Production-ready build deployed to a staging URL
- ▸PageSpeed 90+ target on mobile and desktop
- ▸Technical SEO foundation (sitemap, structured data, meta)
- ▸Google Search Console + analytics wired in
Launch & support
DNS cutover, 301 redirects from your old URLs, and a launch checklist that covers everything from email deliverability to social card previews. You get documentation on how to update content. After launch, optional monthly retainers cover updates, monitoring, and continued optimization.
You receive
- ▸Clean DNS migration with redirects for every old URL
- ▸Launch-day QA checklist completed
- ▸Written documentation for your team
- ▸Optional maintenance plan from $150 / month
Common questions.
What if my project doesn't fit a 4-step process?
Then we adjust. The process is a default shape — most websites and apps move through these phases — but Custom App / Platform builds, AI integrations, and complex applications get a custom plan worked out in discovery.
How involved do I need to be?
More than you'd expect for the discovery and design phases, less than you'd expect for build. Plan on 2–4 hours of input total: discovery call, design review, build feedback, launch sign-off. I do the work; you keep running your business.
What if I miss a deadline on my side?
I'll keep going on anything I can without your input, then pause and let you know. Timelines slip when client feedback stalls — I'm honest about that up front so we can plan around it.
What if I don't like the design?
Two revision rounds are included on every package, three on Growth Website. If we're not converging after that, we have a longer conversation about what's not landing — but in my experience, the design issues that show up after a thorough discovery phase are small. And because you don't pay until you're satisfied, there's no pressure to accept work you don't love.
